Sue will share with you which plants and kitchen waste can be used for dyeing, how to effectively mordant both protein and cellulose fibres and the technique of extraction dyeing. At the end of the workshop you will go home with a selection of dyed linen, cotton, raffia and wool samples and the skills to dye your own clothes. Sue will also dedicate some time in the session to discuss dyeing raffia naturally.

We will cover
- botanicals and kitchen waste that give colour
- natural fibres and fabric preparation for dyeing
- mordants to use on cotton, linen, wool and silk fibres
- using a dye pot to extract colour
- natural modifiers
- growing and harvesting colour giving plants
- caring for naturally dyed garments

*The minimum size of a workshop is 4 students. If there are not enough students to fill a class, you will be contacted and refunded.

*No cancellation for the special guest series - IF I can sell your ticket, you can receive a refund. If I can not sell your ticket then you are welcome to pass it on to a friend to use.
